Health care

Saskatchewan Health Authority administers programs and health services in the province, including The Norquay Health Centre and Gateway Lodge.

Persons new to Norquay can find information about health card registration or address updates and about Saskatchewan health benefits by visiting www.ehealthsask.ca.


Medical services: 


  • For physician appointments call 306-563-5557. A visiting physician is in Norquay once a month at the Norquay Health Centre
  • To book an appointment with the nurse practitioner call 306-594-2903 weekdays Monday to Friday. 
  • Primary Clinic every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. In person Registration starts at 8:15 a.m.. 
  • Nurse practitioner services are available in Norquay weekdays Monday to Friday. The nurse practitioner works with the guidance of a physician to identify and treat minor conditions and to refer clients, as needed, to other health professionals
  • In an emergency call 911 for an ambulance or proceed to the Canora Hospital, Kamsack Hospital, or Yorkton Regional Health Centre
  • Saskatchewan has a 24-hour free and confidential nurse health advice service. Call HealthLine at 1-877-800-0002 or go on-line to www.saskatchewan.ca

  • 30 long term care beds 
  • 1 emergency respite/palliative care bed 
  • 1 pre-booked respite (up to 30 days) 
  • Adult day care 
  • Diagnostic services Tuesdays and Thursday Mornings; call 306-594-2133 ext 222
  • Visiting monthly services of a dietician, physiotherapist and psychiatric nurse

Located at the Health Centre entrance. The office provides a wide variety of services including: 

  • Prenatal lessons
  • Baby clinics
  • Immunizations
  • Information and education

Home Care is located in the Norquay Health Centre. Services include:

  • Homemaking for personal care and assistance
  • Nursing services as ordered by a Physician/Nurse Practitioner
  • Meals on Wheels Program 
  • Assessment for Home Care, Respite, and Long Term Care placement 
  • Volunteer and Health Promotion co-ordination

This fund-raising group plays a vital role by providing money to purchase equipment for our facility. New members are always welcome. The group hosts an annual bake sale in October.
